Diane Mouton

Biography:

Diane is a mother, wife, dog-owner, devoted daughter, friendly conversationalist, and a florist – in no particular order. She opened Fat Cat Flowers thirteen years ago and has been growing her business ever since, beautifying weddings, events and homes with her fabulous flowers.  She loves her special city of New Orleans – no one throws a party like New Orleanians.  She loves to teach both professionals and those looking for a hobby, and hosts monthly floral arranging classes in her studio.  Soon she will have an online teaching platform, where people can tune in to learn how to create floral arrangements, bouquets, floral installations, and more – all in cyberspace!  Diane prides herself on creating open, helpful and most of all, fun relationships with her brides and their families when dreaming up their wedding days. Her secret weapon, however, is a good business model.  

As a daughter of an entrepreneur, Diane was determined to run her own business from a young age. After a successful career in accounting, her eight years as a partner in a celebrated architectural firm fueled her passion for design and lead her to launch her floral design studio. Diane’s background has enabled her to create a strong, successful business model, and she is passionate about sharing this knowledge with other florists and small business owners.
